Epithalon (Epitalon, AEDG) Research Peptide

Epithalon, also commonly spelled Epitalon, is the synthetic tetrapeptide Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, abbreviated AEDG. It has been investigated in cell and animal research involving gene-expression, telomerase and ageing-related hypotheses.

The evidence base has historically been concentrated within a small number of research groups. More recent cell work has added independent data, but human anti-ageing claims remain unproven and should not be inferred from in-vitro findings.

Early cell studies reported changes in telomerase activity and telomere-related measurements. Other work examined AEDG-related gene expression and cellular differentiation. A 2025 cell study reported telomere-length changes across selected normal and cancer cell lines.

Cell-culture outcomes do not demonstrate lifespan extension, clinical benefit or safety in people. ZENTRA therefore describes the compound and published experiments without promoting it as an anti-ageing treatment.
